Power — Stormeet Championship Poland 2023

On October 7th, the first Stormeet championship took place at the Toruń Arena. The competition combines the elements of functional training and running. Overall, the event attracted over 300 competitors from all over Poland.

So, what is Stormeet?

Stormeet is a competition that tests participants in the formula known as fitness racing. For example, it involves both the elements of physical training and running. Participants face challenges such as pushing loaded sleds, rowing on a rowing ergometer. In addition they may also practice the farmer’s walk, cover a large distance while performing burpees, and many more. Furthermore, each exercise is followed by a 1-kilometer run.

Both teams and individuals participated in the competition. Moreover, many „Elite” class athletes attended the event, completing the event in weighted vests. The „Elite” class atheles are experienced with sport events of this kind, often even originating from obstacle course racing or Crossfit.

This year’s edition

The organisation of the Stormeet Championship was great. The arena had many different zones in which the athletes could warm up before competition, and cool down after challanges. Enthusiasts and volunteers organized this event, highlighting their dedication and passion.
